Dale Earnhardt Jr. Signs Deal with BBC

NASCAR legend and champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. has signed an exclusive first-look deal with BBC, the British Broadcasting Company, to produce authentic period dramas based on English history and novels. Dale Earnhardt Jr. expressed his admiration for such vaulted classics in the English pantheon numerous times, including the famous indie 500 Race where he paid millions of dollars to have a large portrait of Jane Austin painted on the right side of his car.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was quoted as saying that he’s excited and thrilled to bring the beautiful costuming, authentic period detail, and sparkling wit of such classic novels as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, The Countess’s Farthing, Sense and Sensibility, and Honor and Nobility to the small screen with a collection of the best English actors that the NASCAR man can find. He also plans to make his directorial debut with his first production, a new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. Earnhardt Jr., the NASCAR champion, was quoted as saying he "can’t wait for this smashing good time".
