New production of Hamlet will turn Ophelia into a seven foot tall bunny rabbit, as she was always meant to be.

The new local production of Hamlet has made an interesting change to the source material. It will change the traditional concept of Ophelia, who is a human woman, into something very different, and some would say daring and beautiful. She will now appear as a seven foot tall bunny rabbit.

The actors will say the lines as standard in Hamlet, to Ophelia, and Ophelia will respond, still as the seven foot tall bunny rabbit, in its full glory. Standing upon its glorious and wondrous throne. All hail Ophelia the giant rabbit. All worship her. The standard lines of Ophelia.

Theater director Martin Van Baggersand has said he really hopes that this will elevate Ophelia and this Hamlet production into the upper echelons of great Hamlet productions, like the one that starred Keanu Reeves as Hamlet and also had Ophelia dressed as a giant seven foot cat, which earned rave critical reviews, man. Super wonderful.
