Major marketing firms and economists confirmed that many teens have decided to leave the empty void, that only promises them an illusion of happiness, for another, equally empty void, that also promises only an illusion of happiness. Trends expert Alice Reynolds had this to say, "Teens today have so many requirements from empty voids, that will only give them an illusion of happiness. It's almost impossible to truly keep up. But they often say they feel that the illusion of happiness that the old void promised, was in truth becoming they could not see the illusion anymore."

One teen also admitted sheepishly that they stopped going to their old void, when their parents started to come, "Yeah, I used to like that place, but them my parents came into the void, and it just made my vague illusion of happiness, one that isn't true happiness, but only the indicator of it, because true happiness requires work. I'm afraid to go out there, because I know I'll fail, because the world doesn't truly want you to be happy. These voids are the only place to get a sense of what that might be like. Happiness is of course long since been discredited as laziness. Well anyways, my parents joined it, and it became lame."
