an Invterview with Jimmy the Raven

All the famous birds in Hollywood, there's no more famous than the legendary Jimmy the Raven. Coming from humble origins in the Mojave Desert, Jimmy the Raven appeared in over a thousand feature films in the '30s and '50s, from You Can't Take It with You, to It's a Wonderful Life, and even The Wizard of Oz. And I was lucky enough to sit down with this legendary avian actor in his Hollywood tree.

"So Mr. The Raven, I just want to say, what an honor it is to interview you." He didn't say anything. He was just looking out at that tree at Beach, of California.

"So, you worked with many famed directors, but you're most known for your Frank Capra collaboration. How was it working with such a famed director?"

 "Caw," said Jimmy the Raven.

"Yes, yes, caw indeed. Now, of course one of your most famous movies is The Wizard of Oz. How was working on that?"

 "Caw, caw, caw, caw, caw."

"Hmm, hmm. Huh, okay. I don't totally Huh. Jimmy, now, I had assumed you were like some magical talking raven. Is it possible and forgive me if I offend you. I don't mean this as an offense. Are you not that?" "Caw."

"Huh. Jimmy, how long do birds usually live? Well, more specifically, how long do ravens usually live? Because it's my estimate that you would be about 83 and that seems possibly too old to be a raven." Well, he just didn't really answer me there, he just flew off.

Huh. Huh. I don't think that was him and I also don't think that Jimmy the Raven is still alive. And I'm lost in California now. Fun. I spent most of my money getting here and I didn't spend a lot on not getting there. Spent most of my money getting here and staying at a fancy hotel because I was interviewing a big star and I thought,

"I deserve it." Oh, this is going to be an adventure.
