It's because I'm corrupt and only in this to increase my personal wealth. An editorial from Scott Pruitt.

Recently, there's been a lot of questions about my motivations for various things. Like the fact that I took nothing but first class for my official business, or the fact that I lived in a swanky apartment, and paid pennies on the dollar for it. The apartment happened to be owned by an energy lobbyist. Now people are coming ... or this new thing where they considered possibly getting me a private plane. People are really, really questioning me on this and saying, "What's your deal, Scott? What's going on?"

It's like I just want to set the record straight once and for all. I'm a dangerously corrupt individual who does not care about anything, but making myself richer. I will do literally anything for that to happen. I thought I was being clear, but I guess not. That's my fault. Let me repeat. I enjoy having money. I wish to have a lot of it. I don't really care how I get it, and because of my connections in the energy field, energy business, I can make it really easy by decreasing environmental regulations. A thing I do not care about in the least because it prevents me from making more money.

Life is really beautiful when you can just be rich, and have a lot of riches, and not have to care about humans in the least. Young people often ask me, "What's my ideal America?" My ideal America is one where I have to very rarely interact with people who aren't millionaires or minorities who aren't working for me. That's my dream. I achieve it pretty well because again, I have zero morals or ethics.
