American Vandal is not a show that should work. I don't know how this show works. That's not true, I know exactly how it works. Because its extended and goofy dick joke reveals itself to be a surprisingly a) well thought-out comedy and b) a pretty good mystery, and c) one that actually cares about its characters. It's about a high school documentary student looking into the vandalization of 27 cars that had graffiti dicks on them.

Of course the assumption is local dick-drawing guy Dylan who the faculty immediately expels, but did Dylan really do it? Well, I don't want to really spoil the mystery, so I'll just lie and say you would never think it was aliens? But it's honestly surprisingly funny, mostly it pretty much pulls off everything it does. I give it a recommend.
