The Berlin 88 : INT RESTAURANT NIGHT

INT RESTAURANT NIGHT

Holly is laying down in the same position now with the rock picture looking like it’s crushing her. Holly puts her apron back on and comes out to see an empty restaurant with no one but Tim there reading a paper.

HOLLY
Still here.

TIM
Yep.

ARGO, dressed in a trench coat, mask, and the most hideous/shirt, red scarf combination imaginable, walks in. He is pacing nervously. Dave walks up. He puts his hand in his pocket, sweat dripping from his forehead.

HOLLY
How can I help you?

ARGO
Uh, Uh. I..I..I..I..my lady, would very much (making a gun in his pocket) like it if you would be so kind, in your infinite wisdom, to give me all your money.

HOLLY
I saw , you don’t have a gun.

ARGO
Yes, I do.

HOLLY
Argo. Argo (in a very low voice). Argo, you’ve been coming everyday; your mom always picks you up.

ARGO
(In a whining voice) Please give me all the money.

HOLLY
No.

ARGO
Please give me all the money?

HOLLY
No.

ARGO
(Breaking out into sobs, goes and sits down at the table.) She was mean to me.

TIM
Don’t care.

ARGO
(Still somewhat sobbing) What am I going to do?

TIM
Leave

ARGO
(Still sobbing) But I thought that...I don’t know, I thought that she’d think that I was cool. Isn’t that how it works? I thought she’d be attracted to bad boys. I’m cool; I’m a cool robber.

Tim looks at him with a dead face

ARGO (CONT’D)
(Still sobbing) What should I do?

Tim leaves

ARGO (CONT’D)
Be more forward? Okay. (So he saunters back up to her, still somewhat sobbing) Hi. You look very nice today. (He runs out.)

EXT. SANDWICH SHOP.
Fread walks by

ARGO
Mom. She was mean.

We hear a knock on the door.

CAPTAIN CRIMSON
(o.s) Justice

We see Captain Crimson’s hand punching Dave.
